MarketDeal24.Com – Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR) on Saturday disabled a campaign video, retweeted by US President Donald Trump, citing a copyright allegation.
The video was disabled from the president’s Twitter feed on Saturday night because it contained songs from Linkin Park. However, Twitter gave reasons for disabling the video.
After receiving the Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice from Machine Shop Entertainment, the video was removed from the feed of White House Social Media Director Dan Scavino.
Meanwhile, Machine Shop’s LinkedIn account revealed that it is a management company owned by the rock band Linkin Park.
A Twitter representative said in a statement that “we have only responded to legitimate copyright complaints sent to us by the original copyright owners or their authorized representatives.”
However, the White House has not commented on the matter.
