MarketDeal24.Com – Members of the United States Senate on Wednesday are scheduled to vote on a bipartisan economic stimulus package worth $2 trillion, unprecedented in US history.
Speaking on a positive note on the chances of passage of this bill, top confidants to President Trump and senior Republican senators and Democrats said they had agreed on the unprecedented stimulus package in the early hours of Wednesday after five days of intensive deliberations.
“We’re going to approve this bill later today,” Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell remarked after the agreement was disclosed early on Wednesday.
But it remains a lingering concern about who soon Congress could get the package to Trump to sign into law.
The United States Senate was scheduled to convene at 12 p.m. ET, with a vote at any point in the afternoon. The Democratic-dominated House of Representatives is not expected to move before Thursday.
Trump supports the measure, the White House announced.
The details of this unprecedented bill consists of a $500 billion fund to support hard-hit industries and a comparable amount for direct payments of up to $3,000 apiece to millions of American households.
